Home Bound

One tired kid - he wrapped himself up like this on our way back home and was asleep a short time later
Pit stop for a picnic lunch and and a chance to get out and play at the park...somewhere in Illinois
Our last stop on the way home was at Grizzly Jack's Resort & Water Park in Utica, Illinois. They have an large amusement park area that we played in first

Then we changed into our swim suits, ate some ice cream...
And headed to the water park before crashing for the night.

Tyler loved the lazy river, I liked the wave pool
Hannah liked anything BUT the lazy river
 Our Grizzly Jacks Resort room
Sleepy girl had breakfast at I-HOP and then fell asleep while we got 1/2 of our miniature golfing done
Then she woke up to help us finish the last half - we called her the "Hannah Hazard" because it was really easy to loose our golf balls around her!
 Putting practice
It was hot and we were ready to climb back into the car and drive the final stretch home in air conditioning!
One last shot - notice where my daredevil son is standing?

July So Far

Haselhuhn 4-Generation Photo. They younger generation wasn't in a very cooperative mood!
Grandpa Clifford Haselhuhn with his grand kids (and spouses) and great grand kids
Hannah checking out her new tricycle birthday gift from G&G Haselhuhn that Daddy just put together.
Ready for a ride!
Day out with Daddy and he took them on a bike ride to the park. Hannah fell asleep on the trip home!
July 4th Boone Municipal Band Concert - very hot!
Playing on the Kindle while we listen to Daddy play in the band

Happy 4th of July!
Our first trip of the summer to the Ames water park
Tyler was very proud to finally be tall enough to go down this slide. I lost count of how many trips he made up the stairs and down the slide!

Hannah really wasn't very interested in playing in the water. She just wanted to sit in their new little red chairs in the shade by Grandma Janelle and play with the diving rings!

New goggles!

Swimming Lesson Progress

Tyler just finished his last beginner session of swimming lessons at the YMCA in Boone. He has been working on the front, back & side stroke with his teacher, Miss Jessie. He has also been working on not splashing, staying in his spot, and quietly waiting his turn. Tyler has done sooo much better since we switched him from afternoon to morning lessons! He started wearing a belt with 2 floats during lessons, then worked down to 1, and by the end he wasn't wearing any floats and the instructors rewarded his good behavior and hard work by letting him dive off the diving board with the older kids. He was so excited! Next week we start one more month of lessons - this time in the next skill level group.

He even swam back to the side on his own!!
